FALLOW DEER

Coat: Highly variable in color, with several common morphs. The most common is the “common” morph: a fawn or reddish-brown coat in summer with conspicuous white spots on the back and flanks, running in lines. The spots fade significantly in winter, and the coat becomes a duller gray-brown. A black line runs along the spine to the tail.

Size: Males typically weigh between 130–220 lbs. Females generally weigh between 70–110 lbs.
